waitin...

Oct 30, 2008 0
so there are two things i'm seriously just sitting here and waitng for right now --

  1. christmas
  2. my 21st birthday
christmas because this weather feels like christmas. it got so cold down here that it was snowed one day [just a little] but still! it was THAT COLD. hello global warming. this is a first, having snow in october. but if this can happen, imagine how much snow we'd get this year! last year was just disappointing -- nothing. but this year, i can see future class cancelations, future flight cancelations [when im already in hawaii], and calls for furry coats. i just love christmas in general, im started to get myself excited, thinking about making candies and cakes.

and waiting for the 21st birthday just because every one of my friends around me are turning 21 and it sucks that im not. and who wouldn't want to turn 21? its like, yes, you're finally free. turning 18 was just a little joke. they weren't really setting you free...only teasing you with a little bit of freedom.

girls are bitchy

sometimes guys don't realize this, but we ARE. i think even worse than guys sometimes. all that gossiping, the backstabbing, it's not a pleasant thing. i think words hurt more than physical punches, especially when they're jabbed at you time after time. once something is said, and your reputation gets ruined, then forget it. you're done. mmhmm

flat on the treadmill

Oct 14, 2008 0
so, a little update on yesterday. this morning, after my shower, i looked at the places where i got hurt and they was HUGE. i mean, it hurt, but heyi went to the doctor's afterwards [i had a report i had to pick up] and i told him about my fall on the treadmill, so he makes me lift up my pants to show him, and he rips off my bandages and he was like:

doctor: kasie, what did you do to yourself?? these are second degree burns!
me: [mouth falls open] no way! it's just a treadmill
doctor: you tell me... kasie, treadmills are supposed to help you, not hurt you. take it easy

ipods

okay, so i'm a little mad -- at this little device. i have one, and im sure ya'll got one too. don't deny it. if you don't, you probably want one. and if you dont then you're weird [kidding].

anyway

i was running before on the treadmill at 6.5, and to me, that's pretty darn fast, considering the fact that im not a professional runner or sprinter. i was in my element, rockin out to a carrie tune, singing along...
i lift my hand to smooth back my bangs and when i put my arm back into running position, it smacks the slack of my headphones, and my ipod goes flying.
i love my ipod.
who doesn't?

so, my first reaction is to try and scoop it and save it--save it from getting dents or scratches from falling on the treadmill. yeah well, i forgot i was on 6.5, and yes, i went flying with the ipod.
needless to say, i got a nice big burn on both my knees as well as a little boob bruising from falling that way. i called my dad a bit afterwards and got a burst of laughter from him.

dad: "why didn't you just let it fall??"
me: "because i love my ipod--daddy, stop laughing at me. it hurts"

why the fack do we care about our electronics so damn much?? GOD. it wasn't going to crack if i didn't save it because i've got a case on it. so smart. i would take pictures of my burn and post it, but i can't reach my camera on the other side of the room cuz it hurts to walk! freakin' a.

"mooncake show"

Oct 13, 2008 0
that's what we [my cousin and i] have affectionately come to call Moonlight Resonance 家好月圓. anyway, i finally finished it last night, and i wasn't as in love with it as i thought i would be. towards the last couple of episodes, i was thinking to myself, omg, maybe this is one of TVB's series that will have a mind blowing ending! but no--it ended rushed, like always. i was really happy that linda and raymond got together at the end because during the whole series, they just built that sweet image of them in our minds, and that was satisfying. but i do have some problems with it, and i doubt it could be called minor.

1. i would have liked to know what happened to fala's baby. i saw a little kid at their table who looked to be about 4-5 years old, but i would have liked to see his face, or known his name or something.

2. before they had cut to 4 years later, the scene was with moses and tavia celebrating tavia's birthday. he had leaned his head on her shoulder and i got the impression that he had died. what happened?! they had focused on that lamp above their heads and dramatically turned it off with a flicker, and why the heck was she crying if he wasn't dead?!

3. because they are my two favorite people, i wanted to know more about raymond and linda. they never talked about whether or not they got married, or if she's still a doctor.

4. and even though i hate kate, and i still hate kate, i would have liked to know more about her relationship with lai lok yi. they had something sweet going on, and they just randomly cut that out, just like how they had inserted how "chiu ping" had a baby during dinner. they never showed her face, so who the fack cares whether or not she had a girl.

but i do have to admit that the scenes between tavia and moses were super cute at the end, when he was holding the kid. their dialogue was cute, how she was saying that he was always threatening her with his possibility of dying at any moment, and how she had to have kids with him.

so yes, i know this picture isn't when they were filming [but that just goes to show they look good together off screen too!], but every time linda and raymond had a scene, i would always focus a little harder. when i watch TVB series, i try not to think. because if i think, i can always guess what's going to happen next. let's face it, TVB doesn't leave room for creativity. so anyway, when i saw linda just throw away their relationship for bosco -- i was floored. but that just made it all the better when they were back together at the end. my favorite couple by far. <3

i also have a carrie song up. i dont have a particular favorite right now, so, a carrie song can't hurt. her songs are always good to me :]

politics

Oct 7, 2008 0
i don't like talking about politics with people. partly because i don't like the arguing, and partly because i really don't care what you think after i've made up my mind. but today, i will make a small exception.
i was on the train last weekend going out to NYC and i overheard this kid talking.

kid: who are you going to vote for?
lady: i dont know. what about you?
kid: i think i want mccain. i like his policies.

at this point, i look over and this kid doesn't look more than 8 years old.

kid: i like how he wants to lower health care costs.

wtf. i was NOT thinking about politics when i was 8. i was thinking about why earthworms had two butts. these kids are all getting so much smarter and growing up so much faster than they really need to. i mean, they're all on computers now, playing video games of skateboarding, INSTEAD of actually going outside to play skateboarding. i get that this world is now all high tech, but we're losing some of our kids.

i said small exception :)

tickle me pickle me

Oct 3, 2008 0
there are two kinds of edible things that always manages to make me grin ear to ear--candy and cupcakes--without fail. candy, there's no need to explain, who doesn't like candy??? but with cupcakes...Ohhh Mm Geee. just looking at one would make me smirk. there's something about cupcakes that make me really want to eat one. but even if you got me some and said i couldn't eat it, i would just be happy to look at it.

i  have been out on a mission to find the most sumptuous cupcakes around me, and that includes special flavors. i'm pretty much done with chocolate and vanilla, that just doesn't cut it anymore. so i was super elated to find Sprinkles Cupcakes  but too bad sprinkles isn't anywhere near me, so i can only look at it. sucks. so, i've resolved to make my own. and i found this new recipe! thought i'd share. this is key lime cupcake. i'm soooo gonna try it!! look at how good it looks!!

cupcakes are the way to my heart

forgetting sarah marshall

Oct 1, 2008 1
* its a miracle; it's like someone heard me writing that last post. --i went into the bathroom before and there was a constant gust of wind...WE HAVE VENTILATION! no more mold, no more lingering poop aroma. YES *

--------------------------------------------------------

i just saw "forgetting sarah marshall" on dvd yesterday and i LOVED it. its like, super rated R though because this is the first film where i've actually seen a guy's actual P. its no surprise to see girls' B's all the time in feature film, so this is new. but other than that, the movie was your typical guy movie- surrounds the central theme [actually, i dont really know what the theme was] around sex. it was really cute though, the love scenes where one character, peter, learns to fall in love with a hawaiian girl. so it works for both girls and guys. this is one other movie that i've ever seen that has made me laugh out loud. the other one was without a paddle. check it out, its worth the 2 hrs. [thats what it felt like...idk]

* the song i just added is a track from the OST from the movie. its sung in hawaiian, so --- no, its not caveman speak. its their rendition of 'nothing compares to you' i fell in love with it the moment i heard it. pretty. *
